The LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-vehicle accident and recovered a vehicle stolen from Iowa City. According to Sheriff Adam Diss, the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-vehicle accident on Illinois Highway 18 near North 12th Road on December 13, 2022, around 10:32 AM. The vehicle had been reported stolen from Iowa City, Iowa, on December 12th. The Ottawa Police Department, Grand Ridge Police Department and Streator Police Department had pursued the vehicle prior to the accident. The Driver of the vehicle, Dwayne Corley, 29, of Chicago, was transported to Morris Hospital from the scene and later transported to OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria for injuries sustained in the accident. The incident remains under investigation.
