Streator man arrested after a months long investigation for possession of child pornography. James M Palko II, 35, was arrested on November 17, 2022, by the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Adam Diss said Palko was charged with four (4) counts of Possession of Child Pornography and is being held at the LaSalle County Jail without bond. Palko had a bond hearing on November 18th but no bond or future court dates are in the Docket. An inmate search for Palko indicates his bond is $50,000 (10%). Palko is charged with four counts of Possession of Child Pornography/Victim under 13 (Class 2 Felonies). Sheriff Adam Diss said additional charges are possible as the investigation continues. The LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office is a member of the Illinois Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
