A Wedron man is in the LaSalle County Jail for Reproduction of Child Pornography after a months long investigation by the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office Investigators and the Illinois Attorney General’s Office High Crimes Bureau. Robert S. Kowalski, 32, was arrested on June 8, 2023, and charged with two counts of Reproduction of Child Pornography Movie (Class X Felony). Kowalski is in the LaSalle County Jail awaiting a bond hearing today, June 9th. Additional charges may be filed at a later time as the investigation continues.
The LaSalle County Sheriff’s is a member of the Illinois Attorney General’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. A Class X Felony is punishable with 6 to 30 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
