Project Now suffered minor damage after roofing insulation panels caught fire Friday afternoon at the rear of the building. Project Now said the children were already home for the day and all staff were able to safely self-evacuate. Project Now posted on Facebook that they will be back in session on Tuesday after being closed in observance of the Columbus Holiday on Monday. The Kewanee Fire Department was able to extinguish the fire quickly and save further damage to the roof. The fire remained on the scene, investigating the cause of the fire.

Thankfully, all the children were already home for the day and the staff got out safely. School will resume next Tuesday after the observance of the holiday on Monday!
