Drivers in Kewanee will encounter closures at the Kent and Tremont Street railroad crossings this week as BNSF crews replace concrete crossing panels. Work is focused on one side of the tracks today, with train traffic on track two halted until 3 PM while crews complete panel replacement. In Neponset, blacktop is being laid at the crossing, and similar paving work is expected to take place at the Kewanee sites tomorrow, September 4th.
