Regional Media’s Calab Franklin Joins KPD and Realizes Dream to be A Police Officer

Today is a bittersweet day for the Regional Media family. Regional Media’s own Calab Franklin is fulfilling a lifelong dream to become a police officer. Calab has been the Vice President of Sales for the Kewanee and Princeton markets since he transitioned from active duty in the Army to reserves. The Regional Media family will miss him, but he will still be close while patrolling the streets and helping keep Kewanee safe.

Regional Media’s Chief Operating Officer, Darren Brown, shared a few comments about Calab’s future. “Calab has been a breath of fresh air for the team at Regional Media. His genuine care for the community has been the key to his success with us. He has built countless meaningful relationships throughout the area, which is why I am confident he will serve the City of Kewanee with great pride. Calab’s passion for improving his community is truly inspiring. While we are thrilled to see him pursue his dream, his presence will be deeply missed. We wish him nothing but the best in this next chapter of his journey, and he will always have a home here at Regional Media.”

Calab will be sworn into the Kewanee Police Department at tonight’s Kewanee City Council meeting. Tune in tonight at 7 PM to our Facebook page to watch Calab get pinned by the Kewanee Police Department. Sergeant Franklin will begin his journey in January at the police academy.
