Registration is open for the 48th Annual Hog Days Stampede. You can choose the four-mile run, the one-mile run, or the kid’s run. There are awards for the first three male and female kids in each age group. The age groups are 8 and under; 9–10; 11–12; and 13–14. The kid’s race starts at 9:30 AM and there is no entry fee, but a guardian must fill out and sign the entry form, for kids 7 and under. A Free T-shirt is provided by The Kewanee Banking Center for the first 300 entries received. There is no guarantee of the correct size for entries received after Saturday, August 17th.
The one-mile fitness walk starts at 9:45 AM. Registration is $15 until August 18th and $20 after August 18th. The registration fee covers a newly designed t-shirt and a chance at door prizes and gift certificates. The correct t-shirt size is not guaranteed after August 18th.
The four-mile fitness run begins at 8 AM. The course is primarily flat, with two small hills. The course begins and ends at the Kewanee YMCA, located at 315 W. First Street. The Kewanee YMCA is providing dressing and shower facilities for the racers until noon, but bring your own towel. Registration is $30 until August 18th and $35 after August 18th. The registration fee covers a newly designed t-shirt and a chance at door prizes and gift certificates. The correct t-shirt size is not guaranteed after August 18th.
