Retired teachers in Bureau County are invited to gather for a special luncheon and program at the Princeton Public Library on May 21st at noon. The event will feature Victoria Yepsen, Executive Director of Tourism for the City of Princeton, sharing insights and updates on local tourism initiatives. Organizers emphasize that reservations are necessary to attend the luncheon. In addition, the association reminds retired educators that local membership dues remain at $10 per year. A newsletter was sent on April 1, 2025, to all retired teachers in the county by our local Bureau County RTA Unit. If you did not receive a newsletter, email [email protected]. Retired teachers are encouraged to attend our meetings. The luncheon aims to provide an opportunity for former educators to connect, stay informed, and discuss community developments. For further details or to reserve a spot, interested parties should contact the association.
The upcoming luncheon, catered by Park Tavern, promises a delightful meal featuring chicken salad croissants, coleslaw, cherry cobbler, and an assortment of beverages. Reservations are required, and those interested must contact Connie Espel by May 15 at 815-303-8982 or via email at [email protected]. Please note, if you order lunch but are unable to attend, you will be responsible for a $15 reimbursement to the unit. This policy helps ensure the event runs smoothly and costs are covered. Don’t miss out on this delicious gathering—space is limited and advance booking is essential.
