Ridgely Elementary students have been announced as winners in the annual Illinois State Fair postcard contest. Six student designs were selected out of numerous entries and will be featured on official postcards available throughout the fair. This achievement highlights local talent and creativity. Students across District 186 still have the chance to showcase their art in the Illinois State Fair Art Competition, with entries accepted until July 15. Winners will have their work displayed at the fair, celebrating artistic achievements from a diverse group of young creators. “The Illinois State Fair is all about creating community, and Ridgely Elementary School is a great neighbor,” said Rebecca Clark, Illinois State Fair Manager. “We value our partnership with District 186 and the opportunity to shine a spotlight on the talent and creativity of Ridgely students.”
“The Illinois State Fair isn’t just an event—it’s a part of our school’s extended family. We’re proud to share a corner of the city with them and grateful for the way they invest in our students, staff, and community each year,” said Ridgely Elementary Principal Jennifer Butcher.
