A 500-foot portion of the s-curve on Bureau County Highway 8 (Indianhead Road) at the Bureau and Lee counties lines is scheduled for grinding of the asphalt surface and placement of milling on Monday, July 15, 2024. The paving portion of the construction is expected to take place on Thursday, July 18, 2024. The Bureau County Highway Department said to please be advised that these millings are loose material, so please USE EXTREME CAUTION when traveling through this section of Indianhead Road prior to the paving operation on Thursday.
