The recent Rotary Club of Kewanee was filled with inspiration, and excitement filled the air as October’s students of the month were recognized: Katy Carton from Kewanee High School, Emily Yeager and Aley Rivera from Black Hawk College East Campus, and Raiyna Verway from Wethersfield High School. Applause echoed for their achievements as they continue to excel in their schools. Audience members were also treated to a unique presentation by Mike Perva, who shared his passion for pinball machines, diving into their rich history and the art of restoring these vintage games. Attendees left motivated, carrying stories of student excellence and the joyful nostalgia of pinball’s golden age.
