In Galesburg, a new event is stirring excitement among the community as the Downtown Community Partnership announces the first-ever ‘Off to the Races! 5K/1M’. Scheduled for April 27, 2024, at 9:30 AM, the event promises routes through Galesburg’s historic downtown, accommodating runners, walkers, and families alike. Open to all ages, this occasion aims to foster community spirit and encourage physical fitness. Interested participants can register now, selecting from a variety of packages that include special commemorative items and potential awards. Whether you’re an avid runner or looking for a family-friendly outing, this event welcomes you to join in the fun and experience the charm of Galesburg.
Registration is currently open online, for $15, $25, or $35 depending on the options chosen, but you may also register in person, day-of, starting at 8 AM. For those who sign up ahead of time, packet pickup will be from 4–7 PM in the lobby of The Vault at Reserve Artisan Ales on Friday, April 26th.
