Fans of acoustic guitar and heartfelt songwriting can look forward to an inspiring evening on Friday, November 14th, at Bishop Hill Creative Commons. Crossroads Cultural Connections welcomes Ryan David Green—acclaimed guitarist, songwriter, and half of the national duo Ryanhood. The event begins with an optional community potluck at 6 PM, followed by Green’s concert at 7 PM. Known for his virtuosic yet approachable style, Green brings emotional lyricism and technical brilliance to the stage. A suggested donation of $20–30 supports the artist, and all ages are invited. Details and tickets are available at xroadscc.org.

“Ryan’s artistry embodies everything we love bringing to Bishop Hill — technical brilliance, emotional connection, and a welcoming spirit that resonates deeply in a small room,” said John Taylor of Crossroads Cultural Connections. “It’s an honor and privilege to host such a world-class musician in an intimate, community-centered space.”

Ryan David Green’s guitar artistry is earning widespread acclaim. Combining technical prowess with deeply emotive songwriting, Green crafts a sound that’s both intricate and inviting. A Berklee College of Music graduate, his talents have taken him across four continents and onto the pages of Acoustic Guitar Magazine. This year, Green clinched First Place in the American Songwriter Song Contest for Best Instrumental Composition, further solidifying his reputation. His music features on networks like E!, Lifetime, and Freeform, while his duo Ryanhood has performed alongside acts such as Jason Mraz and Train.

Critics have described his work as “courageous, evocative, and inspirational” (Newsbreak), “powerful and unpretentious” (Peter McLaughlin, National Flatpicking Champion), and “painting pictures with sensational melodic arrangements” (Christie Lenée, International Fingerstyle Guitar Champion).
