On Sunday, July 7th, the Dixon Police Department received information about an individual on parole in possession of several firearms. Detectives initiated
an investigation and during the course of investigation identified Nicholas C. Davis, age 39, of Dixon, Illinois as the suspect.
Detectives located Davis and took him into custody on outstanding Lee and Ogle County Warrant. After further investigation, Davis was charged with the following:
(1) Count of Armed Habitual Criminal, a Class X Felony
(1) Count of Residential Burglary, a Class 1 Felony
(1) Count of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, a Class 2
Felony
(1) Count of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm Ammunition by a
Felon, a Class 2 Felony
(1) Count of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm with no FOID
The charges are merely allegations and all parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
