A 17-year-old from Rock Falls has been charged with multiple felonies, including attempted murder, following a recent shooting that occurred on Wednesday, November 6th. The arrest occurred without incident at his home on Friday, November 8th, after a warrant was issued. The charges come after a disturbance at a local business on Wednesday, where another 17-year-old male employee was seriously injured from a gunshot wound to the neck but has since been released from CGH Medical Center.
The suspect is now held at the Kane County Juvenile Detention Facility awaiting further court proceedings. This case continues to develop as legal proceedings are pending in Whiteside County.
Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
