Arson Suspect Detained in Connection to Friday Fires

A 21-year-old man faces arson charges after authorities say he set a fire at the Green River State Wildlife Management Area, torching 700 acres of grassland. According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, firefighters battled the rapidly spreading blaze for hours, with assistance from multiple regional departments before containing it.
