Chateau Estates Update
Dixon City officials and Nicor Gas are working with the Dixon Family YMCA to help Chateau Estates residents affected by the ongoing gas shutoff. While crews continue safety checks, residents from the impacted community can use the YMCA’s showers free of charge.
Nicor Gas has divided the mobile home park into seven zones as part of a systematic inspection process. Workers are moving through each neighborhood to test gas lines, clear individual properties, and relight service where it is safe to do so.
Officials say the phased approach is designed to protect residents while restoring gas service as quickly and safely as possible.
