City of Dixon, Petunia Festival, and ComEd Celebrate Continued Community Partnership
The City of Dixon and the Petunia Festival committee have announced the continuation of their partnership with Commonwealth Edison, ensuring the annual Independence Day fireworks will once again light up the sky over the Rock River. For over thirty years, ComEd has played a vital role by providing its property on West 1st Street as the fireworks launch site.
The Petunia Festival is a key summer event, welcoming more than 40,000 people for days of live music, family fun, and community spirit, and culminating with a fireworks show attended by over 15,000. Local agencies are coordinating to ensure safety and a memorable celebration.
