City-Wide Christmas Decorating Contest

SHARE NOW

The City of Sterling is officially launching our City-Wide Christmas Decorating Contest, and we’re calling on every home and business to unleash their inner holiday superstar. Big lights, bold inflatables, glowing reindeer, synchronized sparkle shows if it jingles or twinkles, we want to see it.

Registration is open now through December 6th. We’ll be awarding a prize to the top residence and the top business, so whether you’re a cozy decorator or aiming for “visible from space,” there’s room for everyone.

And because the best part of the holidays is shamelessly driving around to judge other people’s decorations, we’ll be sharing a map of all entries so the whole community can take a twinkly tour. Winners will be announced on December 15th.

QUOTE:
“Sterling, it’s time to show off your holiday spirit, and yes, we fully support the use of enough lights to make your electric meter nervous,” said City Clerk Teri Sathoff. “If your display doesn’t cause at least one passerby to say ‘wow… that’s a lot,’ did you even try?”

For more information or to register, please visit the City of Sterling website or contact the City Clerk’s Office.
