Court Documents Can Now Be Filed at Sterling Library

The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois has opened its first remote intake kiosk in Sterling. Members of the public can scan and file legal documents in new and existing cases from a tablet and printer at the Sterling Public Library.

According to a statement from the court, clerk’s office employees will be available through a live web conference to assist litigants with filing procedures and to confirm receipt of documents. The public can access the remote kiosk from 9 am to 4:30 pm CST, Monday through Friday.
