On Friday, October 11th, Whiteside County Deputies deputies responded to a severe vehicle accident occurred on the intersection of IL 78 and Spring Valley Road, involving a single vehicle that rolled over. The driver, 48-year-old Angela Appel from Thompson, was found trapped inside her car. Quick response from Morrison EMS enabled her successful extraction and subsequent airlift to a regional hospital for urgent care.
Multiple teams including Morrison Fire Department, Morrison Community Hospital Ambulance, and Medforce Aeromedical Transport coordinated in the rescue efforts. ComEd and Hunter’s Towing also provided essential support at the scene. Angela Appel’s current condition is being monitored.
