Dixon Police Announce Some New Additions

At the latest City Council meeting, the Dixon Police Department welcomed new leadership and fresh faces. A swearing-in ceremony introduced the newly appointed Deputy Chief Christopher Scott, A veteran with over 17 years in law enforcement, eight of which have been with the Dixon Police Department, along with two new officers, marking a new chapter following the retirement of Deputy Chief Douglas Lehman, who served the force for three decades.

Adding to the evening’s celebrations, Officer Collin Grady received a Lifesaving Award for his quick response during a January vehicle crash. Grady’s decisive actions pulled a driver to safety after their car struck a house and ruptured a gas line, averting further disaster and earning the department’s commendation.
