Dixon police and public schools are investigating a series of troubling Snapchat messages about potential threats at Dixon High School and Reagan Middle School. Despite these messages suggesting a “2024 school shooters list” and connections to a wider social media trend, both Dixon and Sterling Police Departments have found no credible evidence or actual “school shooters list”.
To ensure community safety, an increased police presence will be visible around Madison Elementary, Reagan Middle, and Dixon High School while officials work diligently to trace the origins of these messages and maintain a secure environment for all students and staff.
