The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office is partnering with state officials for a heightened traffic safety campaign running from March 13th, through the morning of March 23rd, to combat impaired driving during St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.

Sheriff John F. Booker urges motorists to plan for a sober ride home, noting that officers will strictly enforce all traffic laws, including those regarding speeding, distracted driving, and seat belt usage. The campaign is funded by federal traffic safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
