The Illinois Department of Transportation and The City of Dixon will announce the start of Project Rock (Revitalizing Opportunities for the Community and Kids), which will build a new pedestrian bridge across the Rock River and new paths and improvements in Page Park.
The $14 million project is an extension of a path that opened in summer 2024 from Dixon’s south end into downtown and is funded in part by an $11.9 million federal Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity grant.
