A Dixon man faces serious legal troubles in Whiteside County, less than a month after receiving probation for a separate felony weapons charge in Lee County. Lucas Underhile, 27, now stands accused of armed violence—specifically, having a Taurus G2C 9mm handgun while also possessing methamphetamine.

Additional charges include possession of a weapon and ammunition by a felon, as well as unlawful possession of both methamphetamine and controlled substances, namely alprazolam and diazepam pills. These charges, filed June 20, stem from a June 18th incident. If convicted, Underhile could face a minimum of 15 years in prison.
