At approximately 3:59pm on Tuesday, January 16th, Rock Falls Police responded to a residence in the 600 block of 15th Avenue for a report of a
possible structure fire.
When the officers arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from the residence. Firefighters from Rock Falls and Sterling Fire Department responded and located an occupant inside the house.
The occupant was removed and transported to CGH Medical Center for treatment. The name and condition of the occupant is being withheld at this
time. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
