Flock to The Rock is Almost Here

Everyone is invited to our 4th Annual Flock to the Rock on Saturday, February 10th. Head on down to the Lower Dam, 300 , West 1st Street, Rock Falls any time before 10am to view the Eagles soaring around the Rock River, and don’t forget your cameras and binoculars!

Then come on over to the Rock Falls Community Center Building, 601 W. 10th Street, Rock Falls at 10am where we will have two educational speakers. The first speaker will be Northern Illinois Raptor Rehab & Education and they will do an hour presentation with the use of “live”
birds of prey, as well as educational displays.

Our second speaker is Rudy Vallejo from the Kickapoo & Potawatomi Tribe. He will do a presentation about how the Bald Eagle symbolizes the Native American culture and will do an Eagle Dance of which the audience can participate.

New this year, we will have Robert Storm, ice carver, who will be doing live ice sculpting outside on the lawn of the Rock Falls Community Center. From
10am to approximately 2pm, there will be educational vendors including the Illinois Conservation Police Wildlife Trailer. Bagels by Plate & Toast will have fresh bagels along with coffee and hot chocolate for purchase. This event is free and welcomes all ages.
