Centennial Park in Rock Falls (508 E. 11th Street) will shine bright for the 4th consecutive holiday season as visitors will enjoy festive light displays put together by local businesses, churches, schools, and organizations. The Holiday Light Display has grown this year with having added 7 more displays throughout the park. The event will run every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm, beginning Friday, November 24th through Saturday, December 23rd. Free admission / donations are welcome.

We are excited to bring back the horse-drawn wagon rides through the park on Saturday, November 25th. The horse- drawn wagon rides will be provided by the Northern Star Farm out of Popular Grove, IL and will be sponsored by Candlelight Inn.

The wagon rides will be available from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm with the last ride being at approximately 8:15 pm. This is a first come-first serve basis. No vehicles will be allowed to drive through the park on this date. You are asked to park on the side streets and walk to the Little Schoolhouse parking lot for the horse-drawn wagon rides. The Salvation Army of Sterling/Rock Falls will be serving hot chocolate on this evening – free will donation.

On Saturday, December 2nd, donations of canned food will be collected at the entrance and will be donated to the Sauk Valley Food Bank.

On Friday, December 8th,  bring an unwrapped toy to donate to the Toys For Toys of Whiteside County.

If you are interested in volunteering, please call Rock Falls Tourism at 815-622-1106 to get signed up. The Coloma Township Park District and Rock Falls Tourism would like to thank all the businesses, churches, schools, and organizations for their hard work in putting on this spectacular light display.
