House Minority Leader Tony McCombie – Time to put Illinois first

SHARE NOW

Illinois lawmakers adjourned day number three of the fall veto session after spending only 40 minutes on the House floor Thursday morning and no substantial action taking place.

That follows Wednesday’s floor action where House Democrats spent time presenting a number of House resolutions which House Minority Leader Tony McCombie called “another relentless barrage of partisan hypocrisy, filled with finger-pointing at the federal government instead of confronting the many important issues at home.”    Following adjournment, Leader McCombie spoke out on the action and what she see’s coming up in the final days of the fall veto session October 28th – 30th.

So, with just three days remaining in the veto session, it’s still anybody’s’ guess what will be brought to the floor for consideration, but House Republicans believe it’s time to put Illinois first and deliver solutions concerning skyrocketing energy costs, public safety, and overall relief to the families that need it most.
