Erie Middle School will soon undergo a significant summer transformation after the Board of Education approved several major projects at their latest meeting. The centerpiece is a $700,000 track and field resurfacing, addressing both functionality and safety. Plans include a complete overhaul of the shot put and discus areas, ensuring updated facilities for students and athletes.
In a move to enhance safety during football games, the pole vault pit will be relocated. District officials say construction is set to begin after classes end this spring, with a goal to have all upgrades completed before the start of the new academic year.
