Sterling Fire Department along with Police remain on scene at an early morning structure fire in downtown Sterling, just a block East of City Hall. Detours are in place through out at least the morning hours, but may continue into a portion of the afternoon. The investigation is ongoing at this time. The structure is a total loss and collapse at some point during the attempt to get the fire under control.
The Red Cross is also on scene to assist those residents that lost everything. One of the residents, who wished to be unidentified had these comments early this morning:
