Congressman Darin LaHood today endorsed Judge Joe in the Republican primary for Illinois’ 17th Congressional district.

Washington needs more servant leaders, and Judge Joe McGraw has a lifetime of service that will allow him to effectively represent the families across Northwest and Central Illinois. His real world experience combating serious issues like human trafficking and gun crimes, in addition to decades of ethical, honest, and responsible decision making to protect our communities, make him the clear choice for Illinois’ 17th district.

“Joe is a devoted father, jurist, and community leader, and his desire to continue serving at a higher level underscores the fact he is running for the benefit of our state, nation, and the next generation, not himself. He understands the impacts of rising inflation, the crisis at our southern border, and that America must lead in the global marketplace.

“I am confident that Joe can win in November, and he has my full support. More importantly, I have complete trust that as a Member of Congress, Joe won’t shy away from the tough decisions, and will always fight for his district and Illinois over any other agenda. I look forward to campaigning and working with Joe to expand our House Republican Majority in 2024.”

LaHood is a Vice-Chair of the National Republican Campaign Committee, where he has served as the Finance Director, helping raise over $300 million during the last election cycle, and currently serves as the Director of the Patriot Program, leading support for incumbent members of the House Republican caucus.

LaHood represents Illinois’ 16th district, including portions of Henry, McLean, Peoria, Stephenson, and Winnebago counties, portions of which are also represented by the 17th district.
