    IMPACTS
    The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 30 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.

Lee County Deputies Conduct Meth Bust After Tip

On Friday, April 5th, Lee County Deputies were made aware of individuals selling narcotics at the Magnuson Hotel in rural Dixon. At approximately 9:00 p.m., Blake A. Keane, age 21, of Sterling, Illinois and a 15-year-old juvenile of Morrison, attempted to sell Methamphetamine to two Lee County Deputies. Both subjects were taken into custody without incident.

The male juvenile was charged with Methamphetamine Delivery (a Class 2 Felony) and Possession of Methamphetamine – Less than 5 grams (a Class 3 Felony). The juvenile was processed at the Lee County Jail and released to their parents.

Blake A. Keane was charged with the following: Methamphetamine Delivery – a Class 2 Felony, Possession of Methamphetamine – Less than 5 grams – a Class 3 Felony, Unlawful Possession of Cannabis with the Intent to Deliver (30-100 grams) – a Class 3 Felony, Unlawful Possession of Cannabis (30-100 grams) – a Class A Misdemeanor

At the time of the new arrest on April 5th, Keane was already on pretrial release conditions with a GPS monitor out of Whiteside County for pending charges of Unlawful Possession of Firearm Ammunition by a Felon. In accordance with provisions of Illinois SAFE-T Act, Blake was given a court date and released from the custody of Lee County Deputies.
