    Portions of north central and northwest Illinois and east central and southeast Iowa.

    IMPACTS
    The dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in 30 minutes or less. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.

Millie Joins Sterling Police Department

The Sterling Police Department is announcing the arrival of their next Comfort DogMillieMillie arrived at the SPD on Friday, April 19, 2024 and is currently eight weeks oldMillie hails from Harvestime Kennel in Menasha, WI, and holds the AKC name of Harvestime’s One In A Million

Millie will be replacing Comfort Dog Brinkley, who will be retiring on June 12th, 2024A Meet & Greet, as well as a Retirement Party, will be announced at future dates
