Morrison Man in Court for Suspected Drug Trafficking Among Other Charges
A Morrison man is at the center of a significant drug case after authorities seized a package containing 420 grams of methamphetamine pills. According to the Whiteside County Circuit Court, 49-year-old Scott Pruis pleaded not guilty to multiple felony charges.
The Blackhawk Area Task Force and postal inspectors observed Pruis retrieving the shipment, which originated in California, from his front porch. Officers then executed a search warrant at his residence. Pruis now faces charges including meth trafficking, delivery, and possession, which could result in a prison sentence of up to 100 years if convicted. The investigation is ongoing.
