Firefighters were called to a structure fire in an attached garage at around 5:37 p.m. yesterday. Thanks to a vigilant neighbor who noticed the flames, alerted the family, and called 911, the fire was contained quickly, preventing it from spreading to the main living areas of the home.
There were no injuries reported among civilians or firefighters. The blaze, deemed unintentional, was fully extinguished by 7:22 p.m. Assistance came from multiple agencies, including Dixon Rural, Rockfalls, Sterling, and Oregon Fire Departments, demonstrating effective inter-agency collaboration.
