On Wednesday, September 25th, staff and physicians at CGH Dixon Ready Care, located in the CGH Dixon Medical Center, 1321 N. Galena Avenue, welcomed nearly 50 guests for a Chamber Ribbon Cutting. Guests included members and ambassadors from Discover Dixon/Dixon Chamber of Commerce and the Sauk Valley Area Chamber of Commerce, as well as city officials, Board members, and CGH staff and Administration.
The event was held to celebrate the grand opening of CGH Medical Center’s second Ready Care location, offering walk-in treatment for everyday illness and injury, as well as onsite x-ray and lab services, workers’ compensation initial injury visits, stitches, sprain/strain/fracture evaluation and other same-day care services for Dixon and the surrounding communities.
“We saw a very high demand for local, same-day care in Dixon, and as we continue to build on our commitment to all of our patients, we are excited to bring Ready Care to the community,” said Dr. Paul Steinke, CGH President and CEO, during his opening remarks. “You don’t have to be a prior CGH patient to use these services, and no appointments are needed. Simply walk in and receive the care you and your family need, seven days a week.”
Cutting the ribbons on behalf of CGH were Dr. Steinke and Tabby Whitebread, BSN, RN, Clinic Administration, Ready Care Manager and Primary Care Assistant Nurse Manager.

In addition to the Dixon location, Sterling’s Ready Care is located in the lower level of the CGH Downtown Clinic, 15 W. 3rd Street, Sterling.
