    Portions of north central, northwest, and west central Illinois, east central, northeast, and southeast Iowa, and northeast Missouri.

    IMPACTS
    Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
    ADDITIONAL DETAILS
    Heat impacts will be worsened by several consecutive days of sweltering temperatures. Additionally, there will be little relief overnight with near record warm lows forecast in the mid to upper 70s.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1.

The market has provided forty years of service to our community by providing local goods and a place to sell. The market welcomes everyone! This is a great selling opportunity for farmers, crafters, gardeners, local business, home businesses and more. Local fest is now inviting young entrepreneurs to sell.

On Saturday August 26th, the Rock Falls Farmers Market is hosting Local Fest! From 9am –1pm, local sellers of all ages will be present with crafts, décor, fresh produce, sweet treats, jewelry, and a lot more!

Come check out all of the amazing locally grown & made products. You wont leave empty handed! Registration for booth spaces is now open to all ages. This means kids are also invited to sell products! Young entrepreneurs are welcome to sell Lemonade, popsicles, crafts, etc.

Want to Sell at Local Fest? We are inviting all farmers, crafters, gardeners, small businesses, and young entrepreneurs to register for $10. Children may sell their crafts, paintings, lemonade, etc. This is a great opportunity for all gardeners and young sellers. Vendors are required to be in compliance to the Whiteside County Health Dept.
