Due to the Rock Falls High School Homecoming parade, there will be several road closures on Thursday, September 25th.
West 2nd Street will be closed between 1st Avenue to 12th Avenue. West 5th Street will be closed from 4th Avenue to 12th Avenue. 4th, 5th, Galt, 6th, 7th, 8th, 10th, 11th, and Grace Avenues will be closed between 2nd and 5th Streets.
Both the 1st Avenue and the Avenue G bridges will be open.
The parade route will be as follows: Beginning at West 5th Street and Grace Avenue, East on 5th Street to 4th Avenue, North on 4th Avenue to West 2nd Street, West on 2nd Street to Rock Falls High School
Road closures will begin at approximately 5:15pm and the parade starts at 5:30pm. Drivers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and to exercise caution. Do not drive around or move barricades. Police Officers will be positioned along the route to assist with traffic control and ensure the safety of those attending the parade.
