The Rock Falls Chamber of Commerce invites the community to celebrate the season during Hometown Holidays, happening Thursday, November 20th through Saturday, November 22nd in Uptown Rock Falls.
This year’s celebration has been reimagined to bring holiday cheer back to the heart of the community, highlighting local businesses, family fun, and downtown traditions.
“The holidays are about love and community, and we wanted this year’s event to feel like home,” said Sam Kersey, President/CEO of the Rock Falls Chamber. “By moving all activities uptown, we’re bringing excitement and connection back to where Rock Falls truly shines.”

Season’s Eatings Giveaway
A chance to win a complete holiday feast for the family, sponsored by The Butcher Shop, Save-A-Lot, and Tastefully Baked. Tickets are $5 each or $20 for five, with the winner announced November 24th.
Thursday, Nov. 20 – Huge Holiday Bingo
At McCormick Event Center. Bigger prizes, a $1,000 Shop Local Jackpot, new contests, and more activities. Tickets available at Sauk Valley Bank (Sterling/Rock Falls) and at rockfallschamber.com.
Friday, Nov. 21 – Hometown Holidays Christmas Walk (5–8 PM) Free photos with Santa, holiday treats, business specials, performances, carriage rides, petting zoo, and barrel rides throughout the uptown district.
Friday, Nov. 21 – $1,000 Cash Giveaway
Presented by Wickert Insurance at the end of the Christmas Walk. No purchase necessary; free entries distributed during the Christmas Walk.
Friday, Nov. 21 – Love Light Ceremony (6 PM) Hosted by McDonald Funeral Home at Rock Falls United Methodist Church. Honor loved ones remembered during the holiday season. Registration is $5 per name, available online or at the Rock Falls Library.
Saturday, Nov. 22 – Grinch Dodgeball At Rock Falls Middle School. Free for kids Pre-K through 7th grade. Registration required; first 100 participants receive a goody bag.
