Sterling Police were dispatched to Pizza Ranch on East Lincolnway when a shooting took place around 7:49 PM yesterday. Authorities reported that a 17-year-old male employee was injured in the neck but has since been treated and released from CGH Medical Center. With the assistance of the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office, Rock Falls Police, Dixon Police Department, Lee County Sheriff’s Office, and Illinois State Police, a search for the suspect was initiated.
The search concluded with the detention of another 17-year-old male in Rock Falls, who is now considered a person of interest.
