    WHAT
    Very cold wind chills as low as 27 below expected.
    WHERE
    Portions of north central, northwest, and west central Illinois, east central and southeast Iowa, and northeast Missouri.
    WHEN
    From 9 PM this evening to noon CST Tuesday.
    IMPACTS
    The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 25 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.

The City of Sterling issued solicitor permits to employees of Mad City Windows & Bath of Davenport, IA for the following dates, starting today, December 2nd, thru December 7th. These permits are not an endorsement of any service or product of the City of Sterling nor are these solicitors employed by the City of Sterling.

The City of Sterling would like to remind citizens solicitation hours are Monday – Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. Solicitation prohibited on Sundays, State and National Holidays.
