State Representative Brad Fritts Responds to Shooting of Illinois State Trooper

State Representative Brad Fritts (R-Dixon) spoke on the Illinois House floor Wednesday morning concerning the shooting of an Illinois state trooper in Springfield late Tuesday evening.   The trooper was shot by a homicide suspect from Chicago during a traffic stop.  Representative Fritts said the incident was personal to him because the trooper is engaged to his legislative aide at the state capitol.

37  year old Cristobal Santana was arrested shortly before 2 am Wednesday after he fled from police following the 10:47pm incident which left Trooper Cody Green in the ICU of a local Springfield hospital.
