Sterling Main Street is proud to announce that it received two awards at the 2025 Illinois Main Street Conference, held November 12th thru the 14th, in Dixon, Illinois. The organization was recognized for outstanding achievements in both the Design and Organization categories—celebrating the impact of its Team Up 2 Clean Up initiative and the revitalization of the Sauk Valley Under 40 young professionals network.
Team Up 2 Clean Up program, which has been recognized for its impact on design and community spirit. Since 2022, local youth have united each month to rid the area of litter and enhance its look, dedicating hundreds of hours through groups like Sauk Valley Community College’s Impact Program. Meanwhile, Sterling Main Street earned praise for revitalizing the Sauk Valley Under 40 group, drawing record participation among young professionals in 2025. New events and outreach are not only connecting local talent but also sparking fresh energy for both business and community life.
