Sterling Park District Hires New Tennis Pro

The Sterling Park District is pleased to announce that Chris Dudley of Shreveport, Louisiana has been hired as the Racquet Sports Director/Head Tennis Professional at the Westwood Tennis Center. Chris brings over 40 years of tennis experience to Westwood having played and worked in New York, Missouri, Georgia, and currently in Louisiana.

“Sterling Park District is thrilled to share the exciting news that Chris Dudley has joined the Park District as our Racquet Sports Director/Head Tennis Professional. He comes with an extensive background and experience in tennis which can only enhance and build on an already strong tennis history. Chris will be a valuable addition to the Sterling Park District,” said Larry Schuldt, Executive Director at Sterling Park District.

During his tenure as the Tennis Director at the Querbes Tennis Center in Shreveport, Louisiana, Chris introduced tennis to more than 1,000 new players Welcomed over 50,000 players annually to the 11-court facility. Querbes received the Louisiana Tennis Association Facility of the Year award 2 of the last 4 years. In 2022, Querbes was just one of ten public facilities to receive the United States Tennis Association (USTA) National Outstanding Tennis Facility Award. USTA Premier Facility designation, has also been awarded to Querbes during Chris’s tenure at the facility.

“I am super excited about the opportunity at Westwood. The facilities are amazing and there is tremendous potential for growing both tennis and pickleball. Amy and I fell in love with the community, and we can’t wait to start this new adventure” stated Tennis Director Chris Dudley.

 A United States Professional Tennis Association Elite Professional

Chris is a United Stated Professional Tennis Association Elite Professional. He has been interviewed by USTA National, Barron’s Magazine, and the New York Times regarding the resurgence of tennis in the Covid era. In addition to his tennis background, Chris has his USPTA Pickleball Certification.
