On Thursday, December 25th, a Sterling Police Department squad car was involved in a traffic accident on 1st Avenue (Rt–40) and East 3rd Street.
Occupants of both vehicles were taken to CGH for non–life–threatening injuries. As a standard procedure, the Illinois State Police was contacted and are handling the investigation.
