Rock Falls Tourism is excited to announce a new event – Taco Throwdown Festival! This event will be on Friday, September 27th, from 3 pm to 10 pm at the RB&W District (201 E. 2 nd Street, Rock Falls). You don’t want to miss this event to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month!
The Taco Throwdown Festival will deliver flavor and fun including a friendly competition between the food vendors to see who has the “Best Taco” voted on by the attendees at the event. Attendees will purchase a $2.00 sample taco from each participating vendor and then vote for their favorite. The winner with the most votes will win $100.00 cash, a trophy, and best of all bragging rights!
How about a Taco Eating Contest? Ten participants will compete to see who can eat 20 tacos first. The contest will begin at 6 pm. Those wishing to enter the contest can sign up at Rock Falls Tourism office. The entry fee is $20.00. The winner will win $100.00 cash and a trophy.
To entertain you throughout the evening, ZOWA Live will be bringing their ring and Lucha Libres. This will be the first live outdoor wrestling match at the RB&W District! The bell rings at 5 pm and 7 pm. Ringside seating will be available at $10 each seat per show. Limited seats are available. Reserve your ringside seats at Rock Falls Tourism office.
From 8 pm to 10 pm, Pelon’s Music DJ will be playing all your favorite tunes to get you up and dancing at the RB&W District dance floor. Bring your friends and dance the night away.
