Ogle County Deputies responded to a disturbance Saturday afternoon in the 300 block of East Third Street, Leaf River. Following their investigation, officers arrested 18-year-old Wesley Lane of Dixon for possession of a firearm without a FOID card. Lane was processed and later released with a notice to appear in court.
Additionally, authorities detained a 15-year-old male from Leaf River on multiple weapons-related charges, including unlawful handgun possession by a minor, trespassing, and related offenses. The juvenile was transported to the Kane County Juvenile Detention Center while charges are pending. The investigation is ongoing.
