Thank You from The Morrison American Legion
Morrison American Legion would like to thank all the volunteers who helped plant 1,076 flags on veterans’ graves this morning at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison.
In addition to our dedicated Legionnaires, we received wonderful support from the Whiteside County Civil Air Patrol, Girl Scouts, Key Club, Lions Club, Scouts of America, Morrison Historical Society and Sauk Valley IMPACT students. We also give a special shout-out to our two Legion Scholarship winners, Bella Scachette and Harper Buikema (pictured L: Scachette and R: Buikema), alongside all the community volunteers who showed up to help.
Thanks to this amazing turnout, we finished in just about an hour—a far cry from the four hours it used to take just a few years ago! We truly appreciate everyone’s time and support. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
